Chinese Processors

A kinda wild comment from Veggie Ranger on my last post:
"I live in the SouthEast US and used to buy biodiesel (B100) made from poultry fat from processing plants in North Georgia. It was consistently $.15/gallon cheaper than diesel. Unfortunately, companies from China now purchase every bit of rendered poultry fat and pay a processor in Rome, GA to make it into biodiesel and ship it by the container load to China. Now I have to pay a premium for biodiesel produced from virgin soy oil. This one disadvantage of letting the free market set the price and availability of fuel."

  1. Eric-
Certainly frustrating, now only are we currently importing so much out of China, but now our raw materials for Alternative fuels are being sucked out of the market. A similar scenario in our industry.

    Thanks for sharing..

  2. MY DAD MAKES BIODIESEL AT MY HOUSE. I DO HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT IT HOWEVER. ONE IS HOW IT'S BIO DEGRADEBLE IF IT STILL HAS CHEMICALS IN IT? I KNOW THEY WASH IT BUT ITS STILL FORGED WITH CHBEMICALS. I'M TOTALLY FOR BIODIESEL AND IT WOULD MAJORLY HELP OUR COUNTRY IF PEOPLE WITH POLITICAL POWER WOULD GET THEIR HEADS OUT OF THIER BUTTS AND LOOK INTO ALTERNATE ENERGY AS OUR MAJOR FUEL SOURCE INSTEAD OF THE MIDDLE EAST. THANKS.BYE
